Description
If we exclude all the domestic top wines that Italy is known for, the first next aperitif treat that almost every average Italian would opt for is the so-called Spritz Aperol cocktail made of Aperol orange liqueur, sparkling Venetian wine Prosecco and soda water!
This refreshing combination of drinks owes its gratitude to its main ingredient, Aperol liqueur made from a mixture of quality herbs, roots and citrus fruits – sweet and bitter orange.
Its original and secret recipe was first successfully presented in Padua in 1919 by the Barberi Brothers, and thanks to its low alcohol percentage of 11%, in combination with the other king of aperitifs, Prosecco, it quickly became the favorite drink of Italians. Today in Italy Spritz Aperol is drunk in all cities throughout Italy and is the trademark of the traditional aperitif!
