Description
Gray Goose was originally created by Sidney Frank Importing Co in 1996 with the idea of developing a premium luxury vodka for the American market.
Immediately after its launch on the American market, it became incredibly popular. The price of this vodka at the very beginning was higher than other vodkas from the premium segment, so some even classified it in the new superpremium segment.
The company did not choose France for the production of Gray Goose vodka by chance. In this way, they managed to create an image of luxury in line with the global image of France as a country from which a large number of world-famous brands come.
The water for mixing comes from natural springs in France that are filtered through limestone, and local wheat is used in the production of the water. The company also designed a bottle that is sandblasted, and a goose in flight is reflected through the transparent part.
In 1998, Gray Goose received the award for the best tasting vodka. In August 2004, Gray Goose bought the well-known Bacardi brand. That year, Gray Goose was the best-selling premium vodka on the American market with sales exceeding 1.5 million cases.
