Description
Onyx Red is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Peetit Verdot. The wine fermented in a wooden vinifier, one month of maceration, then early cupping and 20 months in oak barrels. Untreated and unfiltered wine. Very reactive, still young, but develops dramatically quickly in the bottle. The basic features are harmony and elegance. Aromatic and complex, extractive, but with a velvety structure. Very soft and cuddly. The spicy character is dominant, but decanting brings out a handful of aromas.
On the nose, the aromas of berries, coffee and tobacco intertwine. Full, powerful and long-lasting. A wine with a pronounced structure, very rich in aromas, velvety and layered. It will show its true strength and complexity in a couple of years.
Serve with blue fish, grilled meat or desserts with a chocolate base. It goes well with veal, lamb, game and mature cheeses.
