Description
Chivas Regal is a world famous blend of Scotch whisky, first produced in the early 20th century by the Chivas Brother Company.
The company’s history takes us back to 1801, when they were engaged in the trade of luxury products such as food, coffee, spices, etc… It was only fifty years later that the company started producing whiskey, and only after the end of Prohibition in the USA was Chivas Regal officially created 12 YO.
At the time, this blend was described as a whiskey for adults, receiving a rating of 9/10, which made it famous. Chivas is often rated by critics, and over time it has gained the status of an excellent blend in its category, with the assessment that it represents an excellent balance of price and quality.
On the nose it is creamy with an aromatic blend of vanilla cream, hints of aniseed, lemon peel and buttery caramel. Sawdust and dried bananas appear in the background with a hint of blackcurrant aroma. The taste is more of dry banana with creamy barley malt, crushed walnut and caramel. The finish is slightly spicy with black pepper at the end.
